Every good story has a good beginning and my particular story starts with Karima. Karima was the very first designer to take a leap of faith to work with me. Quite a feat I have to say given the fact that we’ve never met before, that we live on two different sides of the world, and that at the time I only had a total of one month of experience working as a Pinterest manager. Nevertheless, she said yes, I said hell yes! and our story began.
Now, almost 4 years later we still haven’t gotten tired of each other. She keeps sending me beautiful work to share to Pinterest, and I keep making sure that said work reaches as many people as possible. To say that in all of these years together we’ve reached tons of milestones would be an understatement.
Karima was my first client to get 1000 visitors from Pinterest to her website. She was also the first client to reach that same number in a single month. And then to double that. And then grew it even more. She was also my first Pinterest Management client who made Pinterest her #1 source of website traffic and even got to 1 million monthly impressions on the platform. Yes, a million people saw her work every single month on Pinterest alone.
So you might be wondering, how has that helped her business? Well, Pinterest became the platform that is promoting her design business 24/7 - even when she is on vacation, even when she doesn’t have the time to post on Instagram for a few weeks, even when she is doing everything else but actively marketing herself. It has helped her reach more people and it has helped her get new clients. It even helped her grow the sales of her Instagram templates. Pinterest became the platform that is supporting her business in many different ways and it will continue to do so for a long long time.

Do you know what I love the most about Giada? The fact that she actually lives in the same time zone as me! Do you know how refreshing (and convenient) that is after consistently working with people who live 7 hours in the past?
All jokes aside, working with Giada has been a dream. We met through Instagram (as people do nowadays) about two years ago. It took me 12 months to charm her enough for her to hire me as her Pinterest manager. I know, I should really work on speeding that up, shouldn’t I? Anyways, in September 2021 Giada finally said yes and I think she’s pretty happy that she did. Now let me tell you a bit about how this past year has been treating us.
It all started off a bit slow - “the numbers are going down” kind of slow. Thankfully I had enough experience to know that things like these happen from time to time and thankfully Giada trusted me enough to not get scared away so easily. She knew that if she was able to build her Pinterest up to this point simply by following the tips I was sharing on social media, then I probably knew what I was doing. So we kept on going and well, it has definitely paid off.
Everything started taking a turn around New Years. The numbers started going back up and her account was consistently growing again. Not only that, more and more of her pins started taking off, she kept reaching more people and she kept getting more traffic to her website. By the end of May, her account was at 200.000 monthly impressions, then at 300.000 two months later and finally 400.000 in just 3 more weeks. And do you know what she says she loves the most about all of it? The fact that she doesn’t feel guilty anymore about barely posting on her Instagram account. Read more about that below.

If things started off a bit slow with Giada, the complete opposite happened when I took over Micah’s Pinterest account. His stats started to grow right away, so I was quickly put into the position of sending emails like “things are going really great right now, but don’t expect this kind of growth to keep on going forever, because it would be too good to be true”. Yes, I know - what a depressing email to send, but if you ever get a chance to work with me, then you’ll know first hand that I like being transparent about things.
So, how well exactly were things going for Micah? Well, on month #3, he already doubled the number of people who visited his website in comparison to the month before. A few of his pins suddenly took off and went from getting 5-15 impressions a day to almost 1000 completely overnight. At the moment of writing this, his Pinterest account is on track to reach 100.000 monthly views only 4 months after I started posting on his behalf and already his designs are all over Pinterest.
Now let’s just hope that me bragging about all of this doesn’t jinx everything and ruin it!
